Class Placement
Class placement is at the discretion of the director, Gina Dudash, and her instructors. All final decisions are made by Ms. Gina.

Visitors
Students and parents must receive permission from Ms. Gina to observe any class. No other instructor may give permission for this. Students may not come to class with friends without prior approval. If you have an out of town guest, or you have someone interested in taking classes from Dance Grosse Ile, please notify Ms. Gina and special arrangements will be made for them to observe.

Remember Dance Grosse Ile is a private business that works in cooperation with Grosse Ile Township. Any dance related questions, tuition payments, etc. should be directed to the Dance Grosse Ile staff.

Costume Deposits
Children will be measured in class during a selected week in September. If your child is absent for measurements, we will estimate a size for him/her, but we will not be responsible for improper fit. Notices will be handed out in advance about the measurement date. Deposits of $40.00 per costume will be due in the week after measurements are taken. We receive the very best prices possible by ordering early. Most costumes average $45.00. As the children get bigger and venture into adult sizes, you can expect to pay more. Dance Grosse Ile will place the final order in early October, and will receive costumes by February. There are NO refunds on costumes. No exceptions.

Recital Photos
Professional photos will be taken after costumes arrive. These photos are not
mandatory and you will pay the photographer's prices. They will not be
associated with Dance Grosse Ile. Group shots will be taken for the recital
programs. There is a $5.00 charge per student per class for a group shot to
appear in the program. All students paying for the group shot will receive a complimentary program. If you would like to see a program from past recitals, please ask the receptionist.

Fundraisers
Occasionally Dance Grosse Ile has fundraisers for Nutcracker and dance related equipment. We will keep you posted on fundraisers to take place this year.

Awards
All students are awarded at the end of the dance year, provided all tuition and fees are paid in full. Awards are given out on recital rehearsal nights. If you fail to pick up your award, you must make arrangements to pick it up at a later date.

Birthday Bags
Birthday Bags are given to students on the week of their birthday. If your child has a summer birthday, they will receive their Birthday Bag their last dance of dance class before recital.

Parent Watch Day
Parent watch day is reserved for parents of younger students on the last class of the month for the last 5 minutes of class. You may bring cameras. There will be no watching days in March, April, or May due to recital preparations.

Weather
We will update you when class is canceled due to weather. When Grosse Ile Schools are closed, so is dance. We still hold classes on half days. Call (734) 362-0880, the Dance Grosse Ile office or go to our website at www.dancegrosseile.net.

Dance Newsletter
You will receive a dance newsletter every month keeping you posted of all events and fundraisers. Calendars will always have what days we are closed, holidays and other events that may not be posted in this letter. We urge parents of older students to come in occasionally and check to see what notes, if any, they've missed so that everyone stays well informed.
