Our 2010/2011 Competition Team

Dance Grosse Ile competed at the Encore Performing Arts Showcase Competition and at the Nexstar Talent Competition.  They took 32 numbers and received numerous Platinum, High Gold, and Gold awards, as well as, one silver award.  Of the 32 numbers, several of them placed in the top 10 of their categories.

Sarah Byington received a scholarship to the Encore Performing Arts Showcase national event in Las Vegas to perform her solo, “What is Real.”   She was also invited to perform as part of the “Elite” dance team.  Lisa Terauchi and Libby Perugi received scholarships to the national event as well. 

The team will travel to Kalahari Resort in Sandusy, Ohio in July to compete against several other regional champions.  They will also have the wonderful opportunity to perform at Disney World!
